Every transaction in xPlug is verified on-chain, not by a company or a server but by the protocol itself. That’s the foundation of trust in the xPlug ecosystem.

xPlug doesn’t rely on a central system to “confirm” transactions. Instead, it uses the x402 verification protocol a decentralized layer that validates every payment directly on the blockchain.

This means:

  • No middlemen or custodians.

  • Every payment is publicly auditable.

  • What you send is exactly what’s received.

How Verification Works

When a transaction happens either through xPlug Pay or the xPlug SDK here’s what happens behind the scenes:

  1. Transaction Request → The user initiates a payment (e.g., sending 5 USDC).

  2. Facilitator Validation → The xPlug Facilitator checks that all payment data is correct and valid for x402 processing.

  3. x402 Verification → The x402 protocol verifies the transaction hash, token amount, and destination ensuring there’s no manipulation.

  4. On-Chain Confirmation → Once verified, the transaction is permanently recorded on Solana for public access and traceability.

  5. Instant Receipt → Both sender and receiver can confirm the payment in real-time.

All of this happens automatically, within seconds fully decentralized, fully visible.

Transparent by Default

Transparency isn’t an option in xPlug it’s the default. Every transaction that flows through xPlug is stored immutably on the blockchain, and can be viewed by anyone via x402Scan.

  • Traceable: All payment records are visible, timestamped, and verified.

  • Immutable: Once confirmed, no transaction can be altered or removed.

  • Publicly Verifiable: Anyone can confirm payment details independently.

Even xPlug’s own Facilitators can’t modify, reverse, or fake a transaction because the verification happens at the protocol level (x402), not through private servers.
